BONSERNEWS.com – A junior high school student with the initials R (13) decided to burn down his school building at SMP Negeri 2 Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency, Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
The reckless action was carried out using Molotov cocktails.
As a result, three classrooms were damaged due to being devoured by the red flame.

R was immediately arrested by the Temanggung Police after conducting an investigation into the cause of the fire in three classrooms of SMP Negeri 2 Pringsurat Temanggung.
“R is officially a suspect, based on a number of evidence found at the location as well as CCTV footage at the school,” said the Head of the Temanggung Police, AKBP Agus Puryadi.
“This means that it is subjective to the student’s feelings. This was proven when he had a work and the teacher judged it to be mediocre, he wanted the best,” said AKBP Agus Puryadi

AKBP Agus Puryadi revealed the motive behind R’s reckless action to burn down his school. According to him, R felt hurt because he was often the target of bullying from friends and art teachers.
R’s heartache continued because he was not elected chairman of the Youth Red Cross (PMR) at his school.
AKBP Agus Puryadi explained, the accumulation of pain and subjective feelings of R is suspected of being the trigger and motive for burning the school.
