BONSERNEWS.com. The police are handling the fatal accident of a water tanker truck allegedly having brake failure while crossing a descending road on Jalan Untung Suropati, Jatibarang, Semarang City, which killed one person.
Head of the Semarang Polrestabes Traffic Unit AKBP Yunaldi said the tanker truck that was on its way to deliver the water crashed into a car and three motorbikes.
“One person died, three others were injured,” he said.

According to him, the deadly accident started when a water tanker truck was driving from the south to the north on a downhill road.
He said the truck was suspected of having problems with the brakes so that the driver could not control the vehicle’s speed.
The truck just stopped after hitting the bushes on the side of the road.

Even so, he said, officers would still ask witnesses to find out the exact cause of the accident.
The dead and injured were then evacuated to Dr. Kariadi Hospital in Semarang.
Officers then evacuated motorized vehicles and trucks involved in the accident.
A successive accident involving three vehicles occurred at KM 345, lane A of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road, Thursday (20/7/2023).
The Batang Police confirmed that one person died in this unfortunate incident.
Kasatlantas Batang Police AKP Agus Pardiyono Marinus confirmed the news of the successive accident.
