I was left with my luggage when I wanted to go on vacation in Bali, enjoying the long holiday of Eid al-Adha.

Upon arriving at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, on Thursday (29/6/2023), AirAsia passengers were shocked.

Because the officer said that their baggage could only be collected the next day, on Friday, 6/30/2023.

In this regard, General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan, said that the checked baggage is the responsibility of the carrier that transports it.

“When there is a passenger’s baggage that is still left behind at the airport of origin, the passenger is expected to immediately report it to the lost and found section of the carrier airline,” he said.

One of the passengers, named Chintya, said that 40 passengers had received their luggage.

“There have been suitcases that have arrived, only 40. The 108 suitcases haven’t arrived yet. The reason is, the flight from Bandung, the airport is small and for the plane, the passengers are full,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Brand and Communications Indonesia AirAsia, Mila Lubis apologized to all passengers who were affected by the delay in receiving their baggage.

“So for the flights mentioned above, our field team decided to reduce the burden on the plane by unloading some of the passengers’ luggage,” he said.

Mila explained that passenger safety and comfort is Indonesia AirAsia’s commitment.
