BONSERNEWS.com – Dimas, a passenger on the Brantas train (KA), said he heard a crash when the train he was traveling in hit a trailer truck at a level crossing on Jalan Madukoro, West Semarang.
The 25-year-old youth said the train stopped suddenly.
“Only a bang was heard, then the train stopped,” said Dimas, reported by Antara, Tuesday (18/7/2023) evening.

Dimas boarded the Brantas train bound for Jakarta Blitar.
He said he did not know the exact chronology of this collision.
Previously it was reported that there had just been a collision between the Brantas train bound for Jakarta Blitar and a trailer truck.

The train hit the front of a trailer truck that was traveling from north to south
The explosion occurred when the locomotive of the train hit the head of the trailer truck.
The head and tail of the trailer truck were stuck at the mouth of the Semarang West Flood Canal Bridge.
There has been no official statement from the police. There has been no official statement from PT KAI regarding this incident.
Joint police and KAI officers are still trying to evacuate a series of trailers stuck at the mouth of the bridge.
The exact number of victims in the incident is not yet known.
