BONSERNEWS.com – Floods submerged a number of sub-districts in Padang, West Sumatra, Friday (14/7/2023).
The flood occurred due to heavy rain since Thursday (13/7) evening.
Residents of Lubuk Buaya Padang were evacuated using rubber boats on Friday (14/7/2023).

A number of cars were desperate to break through the flood which submerged the Khatib Sulaiman Padang Protocol Road.
Even Brimob personnel were deployed to distribute snacks to Lubuk Buaya Padang residents.
At least 7 areas in West Sumatra were flooded on Friday, 14 July 2023.

This was conveyed by the Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD W Sumatra Rumainur.
He said, the flood almost submerged the entire area on the coast of West Sumatra.
The floods were caused by quite heavy rainfall since Thursday night, 13 July 2023, at 19.30 WIB.
“Almost the entire coastal area of West Sumatra was flooded. The worst area is Padang City,” he said.
“Until now there are still several points in the city of Padang which are still inundated. There are also residents who have fled,” said Rumainur.
