BONSERNEWS.com – Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar said that his party had crossed out the children of officials who registered for PPDB SMA using a certificate of incapacity or SKTM.

He said the deletion was carried out because the registrant did not meet the criteria.

“We have crossed it out, because the slot is affirmation, that was the criteria,” said the Muktabar.

“That’s why we verify this, because the affirmation is fundamental, it gives the rights of our brothers and sisters who can’t afford it,” he added.

Al Muktabar said that his party had also visited SMAN 1 Kota Serang.

He admitted that he found prospective students who did not have parents and promised to help finance the child.

“If it’s affirmed, maybe we can get financing, we’ll adjust it later,” he said.

He conveyed that residents could also inform the Banten Provincial Government if they found poor citizens who needed assistance with school fees.

Previously, the Indonesian Ombudsman Representative for Banten received 36 complaints related to the implementation of PPDB at the elementary, junior high and state high school levels.

Banten Ombudsman Representative Head Fadli Afriadi said that his party received 36 complaints from monitoring via social media, WhatsApp (WA), to those who came directly to his office.

“There is also the use of campaign cards for regional head candidates which are not regulated in government regulations. In addition, there are also prospective students with the status of children of officials and big businessmen who try to register through the affirmation route using a certificate of incapacity or SKTM,” said Fadli.
