PJ DKI Governor: Transjakarta will serve the general public to Soetta Airport


BONSERNEWS.com – Acting (Acting) Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono said the Transjakarta service route to Soekarno-Hatta Airport is not only for airport employees, but also for the general public.

“Yes, the general public. Part of Transjakarta’s job is to serve Jakarta residents,” Heru told reporters, Saturday, June 17 2023.

Heru admitted that he would inquire further with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) when the service would be operational.

“Yes, we will still check it later. I will ask the Transportation Agency first,” he said.

Contacted separately, the Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Communication and CSR Department, Wibowo also confirmed this. He said the tariff for the service was still under discussion.

“For Transjakarta as a public transportation company, of course it serves the whole community. Tariffs are still being discussed,” he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo said that before full operation, as many as 15 Transjakarta buses would undergo trials first.

“Before it is fully operational, a trial will be carried out. We hope the trial can be carried out no later than the first week of July. A trial of 15 units,” said Syafrin when confirmed, Wednesday (14/6).

He said the trial would serve the route from Kalideres Terminal to Soekarno Hatta Airport. Syafrin said that the service permit was also being processed by the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ).
